  12. This is a completely new build using BC++ for OS/2. The resulting
  13. executable is about 60k smaller and I believe that it is also
  14. faster.

  18. Fixed a variety of little bugs that just didn't want to show up
  19. consistently.

  23. There is now a checked menu item that toggles whether or not Image
  24. Archiver will get the width/height of each image file. Un-checking
  25. this menu item dramatically speeds up filling the container when
  26. dealing with large numbers of files.

  28. Fixed a problem (I hope) with accessing network drives when drive
  29. letters were skipped. i.e. if you had drives A, B, C, D, E, and G,
  30. then it would be impossible to select drive G from the directory
  31. dialog.

  35. Fixed the bug that caused many GIF picture dimensions to be displayed
  36. incorrectly and often caused Image Archiver to go into an infinite
  37. loop, locking up the WPS and needing a Ctrl-Esc.

  39. Changed the progress monitoring dialogs to be a little clearer. There
  40. is no 'Pass x/y' field anymore. The progress bar reflects the progress
  41. of the entire compress/decompress process for that file.

  44. should get along with other apps a little better now. 8^)

  53. Image Archiver v1.00 is finally here! No more BETA releases for this
  54. version will be released. This is it for now.
  55.  
  56. For those of you who don't know, Image Archiver is a JPEG
  57. conversion/viewing utility with an informative user interface. You'll
  58. have to play with it to decide if you like it or not, but I would bet
  59. that you will. There is online help available that describes all of
  60. many the options available.
  61.  
  62. When you start the program you are presented with two containers
  63. listing files in the selected directories. The directories are
  64. displayed directly above the container and can be changed by pressing
  65. the Dir button to the right of the READ-ONLY entry field. To see a
  66. list of JPEG files in the leftmost container, simply change to the
  67. directory where you JPEG files are stored and press the OK button and
  68. the container will be filled with a detailed list of the JPEG pictures
  69. in that directory. This may take some time if there are a lot of files
  70. in the directory. You can do the same to fill the other container with
  71. files of the other supported types. Currently Image Archiver v1.00
  72. supports GIF, Targa, and PPM files. It can convert between any of
  73. these formats and the JPEG image format.

  75. JPEG images may be viewed by simply double-clicking mouse button 1 on
  76. the desired image name. A window will open up once the file is decode
  77. and the image can be viewed.

  79. All other options are now contained in PopUp menus. By pressing mouse
  80. button 2 in either of the containers you will be presented with a menu
  81. showing what can be done to the selected files. There is one
  82. exception, the View menu option opens up a file dialog allowing you to
  83. select a JPEG file to view.

  85. There are now no known bugs. All processes may be safely canceled. I
  86. have noticed that some .GIF files report incorrect image dimensions.

  88. When you start up the program you are presented with the About dialog
  89. automatically. This is an unregistered user 'feature'. If you register
  90. it will go away. Registered users will will also receive a version of
  91. Image Archiver that supports adding/editing/deleting comments in JPEG
  92. files. This feature will allow you to add any descriptive text that
  93. you would like to any JPEG file. There are no other disabled features
  94. in the unregistered version.
